KIND — written by Alison Green

Kindess. We all need it. We all need to share it too. Especially during these strange days. It’s something we are discussing so much of in school at the moment and my girls are really thinking out of the box how they can be kind and helpful to others. So when a dear colleague friend introduced me to this book, KIND by Alison Green, we adored it and have been totally inspired by it!

KIND is a compilation from top illustrators sharing the many ways children can be kind to one another. Illustrators such as Sir Quentin Blake, Michael Foreman, Chris Haughton and Beatrice Alemagna have shared images from books they have contributed too and the author Alison Green has put them all together to create this marvellous book.

Actions such a making a kindess jar, passing on a smile, listening to others, caring for an animal, playing a game with someone are all encouraged through stunning illustrations. Children will delight in reading this book and equally delight in recalling which book they originally saw the illustrations from.

For every purchase of KIND, one pound goes to The Three Peas charity which gives vital help to refugees from war-torn countries.

You can purchase KIND from any good bookstore or online here.

Sending much kindness to you all,

Vanessa x

P.S. Another lovely book to encourage kindness is Pass It On by Sophy Henn and this is a super article from Courtney about being kind.
