Dear friends,
How are you?
It’s a different world! Some of you may have been house-bound for a while now, and for some of you it’s only just beginning. Working from home, schooling from home, spending less time outside… No playdates, no sports or hobbies, no little trips to parks, pools, museums or even family.
And even though we are physically further away from our friends and families than ever before, I feel that the world is bonding and reaching out to one another. On social media, so many artists are sharing work and so many companies are coming up with the most wonderful creative craft projects. On a local level, neighbours are helping each other out: cooking and baking and shopping for elderly people.
In all of this time’s uncertainty, this is the stabile truth: we people take care of one another. It’s the US that matters, not the I.
Here on Babyccino, we will keep doing what we have always done for twelve years: to inspire you and offer support. We will be sharing ideas from our archives as well as new posts, focussing on simplicity, togetherness and positivity. We will of course also still be supporting our community of wonderful small businesses!

Thank you Esther! You are endlessly inspirational! xx
😘
Can’t wait to read all that comes! Please if anyone has any tips for only children during this time! My nearly 4 year old doesn’t have any siblings to play with! Besides playing with us and on his own he has group video chats with nursery friends and regular scheduled activities like show and tell and set playtime over FaceTime with friends around the world but what else?! Thanks! X
As an only child, perhaps I can offer some suggestions… I’ll have a think! Thanks! xx
We have already used the play dough recipe which was great fun! Thank you for continuing to offer advice, ideas and inspiration.
Would love some tips for wellbeing for older boys. My son relied so heavilly on physical activity as an outlet and now he can’t get outside in the same way.
We’ll have a think! Thanks for the suggestion xx
Hi! Looking forward to your posts. I have a one year old, only child (for now). She’s very much used to playing with nephews and nieces and daycare friends and very sociable. Now she can only have social interaction with us, her parents. I’m concerned about her relationship with nieces, nephews, aunts, grandparents … will it be as good as before?
Hi Jolien, it is such a tricky time! But don’t worry, I’m sure your baby will be fine. Maybe she will need a bit of time when she first sees your family again after the lockdown, but she will love them as much as ever before. (And in the meantime, she will enjoy waving at them at the screen!) xx
